A large fire in Louisa County, Virginia triggered a State of Emergency, leading to evacuations in areas of West Old Mountain, Shannon Hill, and Yanceyville Road. Louisa County officials opened the Emergency Operations Center and emergency shelters for evacuees. Red Flag Warnings were in effect due to high winds, dry conditions, and low humidity. The fire comes amidst more than two dozen wildfires reported around the state.
