In January 2024, Romania's manufacturing industry saw a 3.5% year-over-year increase in new orders, driven by growth in the capital goods industry (+10.7%). However, the durable goods industry experienced a 17.9% decline, while the FMCG and intermediate goods sectors saw 6.9% and 3.6% drops, respectively. Overall, Romania's industrial turnover rose 0.7% in January compared to the previous month.
