Jailed separatist leaders' daughters, Sama Shabir (daughter of Shabir Ahmad Shah) and Ruwa Shah (granddaughter of Syed Ali Shah Geelani), have disassociated themselves from separatist ideology and pledged loyalty to India's sovereignty. In public notices, they distanced themselves from their family members' separatist activities and ideologies and declared their loyalty to the Indian Constitution.
