The Jacobite train, or "Hogwarts Express," in Scotland, has been suspended over a safety dispute regarding hinged-door carriages.
The Jacobite train, famously known as the "Hogwarts Express" in the Harry Potter franchise, has been suspended in Scotland due to a dispute over safety regulations. Operated by West Coast Railways (WCR), the train service is awaiting a verdict on whether it can continue to operate with hinged-door carriages. The train, which has appeared in multiple Harry Potter movies, has operated for more than 30 years under an exemption that allows it to run with hinged-door carriages on main lines. The operator warns that the suspension could cost up to £50m in lost value.
