France's TF1, owner of the country's most popular free-to-air TV network, is expanding its free streaming platform, TF1+, to Europe and Africa, starting with Belgium and Luxembourg in June. The company plans to target French-speaking markets, starting with North Africa, and may later add Canada to its 18-month rollout. TF1+, hosting 15,000 hours of shows and films, aims to grow its online ad business and tap into French-speaking markets to attract advertisers.
