Intel Wins Almost $20 Billion in Chips Incentives for US Plants.

Biden awards Intel $20bn in grants and loans to boost US chip output, marking the largest US government investment in leading-edge chip production. The funds will be used to build two new factories and modernize an existing one in Arizona, and also support Intel's projects in Ohio, New Mexico, and Oregon. The aim of this investment is to reduce the reliance on China and Taiwan for semiconductor production and increase the US share of leading-edge chip manufacturing, which is currently at zero.
