Cobh chef, Ian Baitson, who was critically injured in a sword attack in Co Cork, has died. The 33-year-old father of one suffered severe leg injuries in the assault, which took place on Friday evening near a car park in Cobh, and underwent emergency surgery in Cork University Hospital. Gardaí believe the victim knew his attacker and are preparing to launch a murder investigation.
