8th grader Luna Gasevic from Fargo won her third consecutive North Dakota State Spelling Bee title, securing an all-expense-paid trip to compete in the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. from May 26-31. This year's event began with 96 spellers representing 49 of 53 counties in North Dakota, who took part in a written spelling and vocabulary test, with the top 27 advancing to the oral rounds.
