TD Bank Group and HDFC Bank have signed an agreement to simplify banking for Indian students studying in Canada. The partnership introduces a referral program where HDFC Bank will refer Indian students to TD's International Student GIC Program, helping students meet Canada's Student Direct Stream study permit requirements. TD's program offers benefits such as a GIC designed to meet SDS requirements, interest on GIC before arrival in Canada, a student chequing account with no monthly fees, and a one-time credit for HDFC Bank customers. Upon arrival in Canada, students will benefit from accessible banking, expert advice on finances, and a wide range of banking services available online and through the TD app.
