Singapore's CapitaLand Investment issues first sustainability-linked panda bond, raising 1B yuan ($139M).

Singapore's CapitaLand Investment (CLI) issued its first sustainability-linked panda bond, raising 1 billion yuan ($139 million) from investors. The 3-year bond with a fixed coupon rate of 3.5% per annum received a subscription rate of 1.65 times. This is the first sustainability-linked panda bond issued by a Singapore company, which are yuan-denominated debts sold by overseas issuers in China. The bond is linked to CLI's target of reducing energy consumption intensity by at least 6% at its properties in China.
