SEAI enforces EU Directive, requiring Irish petrol stations to display EV price comparisons.
The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) is enforcing a new EU Directive requiring petrol stations to display price comparisons between petrol, diesel, and electric vehicles. Petrol station owners must show a poster or screen with the cost to travel 100 kilometers in each type of vehicle. Petrol stations with three or more fuel pumps also have to display signs showing their prices compared to the electric alternative. The SEAI will update these values every three months, and petrol stations must update their posters within five working days.
