Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) appoints Maria Douvas as Chief Legal and Administrative Officer, succeeding Christoph Knoess' departure.

Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) has appointed Maria Douvas as its new Chief Legal and Administrative Officer, following the departure of the bank's previous Chief Administrative and Strategy Officer, Christoph Knoess. Douvas, who joined RBC in 2016, will take on a broader role in shaping the bank's future, overseeing enterprise strategy, procurement, corporate real estate, climate, and the chief data office in addition to her legal responsibilities. Knoess, who joined RBC in 2019 from consulting firm McKinsey, will be leaving the bank.
