Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois faces another two months on the sidelines due to a torn internal meniscus in his right knee, ruling him out for the remainder of this season and the Euro 2024 tournament. Courtois had previously undergone surgery for a tear in the internal meniscus of his left knee in August. Ukrainian goalkeeper Andriy Lunin will continue as Madrid's starting goalkeeper in Courtois' absence.
