2023 projects 8M passengers at Sri Lanka's Bandaranaike International Airport, up from 5M in 2022 and 850K in Q1 2024.
Sri Lanka's main international airport, Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), is projected to welcome around 10 million passengers by year's end, according to the President's Media Division. From January 1 to March 19, 2024, 850,000 air passengers utilized BIA services. The total number of passengers that used the BIA in 2022 was 5 million, with a projected increase to 8 million in 2023.
