Nigeria's sovereign fund, the Nigerian Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA), partners with local firm North South Power (NSP) Company Ltd to develop a 20MW solar power plant. This marks the initial phase of a larger 300MW solar project and is set to establish Nigeria's first on-grid solar-hydro hybrid project, the Shiroro Generating Company, situated in Shiroro, Niger State. The project aligns with the priorities of the Ministry of Power to increase energy output and diversify into renewable energy.
