11 more individuals have been arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in relation to the communal violence that occurred during Ram Navami celebrations in West Bengal in March last year, following the arrest of 16 individuals in six related cases. The accused were identified through video footage and were involved in orchestrating attacks on a particular community during the procession for Ram Navami in Shibpur, Howrah Police Commissionerate. The case was initially registered by the West Bengal Police, but the High Court of Calcutta transferred it to the NIA in April 2021.
