10 people were killed and 48 injured in a crash involving a DAF trailer on the Abuja-Kaduna expressway, according to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC). The accident occurred due to excessive speed, overloading, and fatigue, leading the driver to lose control and crash into a ditch. The victims were taken to hospitals in Kaduna, and the FRSC Corps Marshal, Dauda Ali-Biu, urged sector commanders to strengthen enforcement and advocacy campaigns against speeding, overloading, and reckless driving, and to establish mobile courts along critical corridors to address these issues.
