High school student hit by car in crosswalk at Independence High School in Charlotte; investigation ongoing.
A high school student at Independence High School in Charlotte is recovering at home after being hit by a car in a crosswalk on campus. Principal Amy Mims sent a message urging drivers to be cautious and mindful of students walking and riding bikes and scooters during the morning arrival. The incident is under investigation, but no charges have been reported against the driver at this time.
