Egypt's "New Administrative Capital" is rising east of Cairo, featuring Africa's tallest tower and the Middle East's largest cathedral. The city is one of President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi's megaprojects, aiming to develop Egypt's economy. Construction began in 2016, with phase one nearly complete and phase two set for later this year. Over 1,500 families have moved in, and 10,000 families are expected by 2024 as government ministries relocate.
