The Supreme Court of Bangladesh has granted bail to BNP leader Amanullah Aman, who was serving a 13-year jail sentence since 2007. The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court, led by Chief Justice Obaidul Hasan, granted Aman bail after hearing his appeal against a High Court verdict that upheld his imprisonment. Aman was not barred from release as he was not wanted in any other case, according to his lawyer.
