The Chocolate Scorecard by Be Slavery Free reveals that some Australian retailers are lagging in stocking sustainable chocolate products, with Easter sales accounting for 75% of annual sales. This year, Ritter Sport received a Good Egg Award, while Mars Wrigley, Nestle, Hershey's, and Ferrero received yellow awards. No retailers globally received green ratings, with Aldi scoring yellow, Woolworths orange, and Coles, David Jones, and Kmart receiving red ratings. The scorecard evaluates companies on traceability, living income, child labor, climate change, deforestation, agroforestry, and agrochemical use.
