Armenian Parliament ratifies EU mission agreement for observing Armenian-Azerbaijani border and building confidence.

Armenian Parliament ratifies agreement on the status of European Union (EU) mission in Armenia, known as EUMA, deployed on February 20, 2023, at the request of the Armenian government. The mission aims to observe and report on the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, contribute to human security in conflict-affected areas, and build confidence between the populations of Armenia and Azerbaijan. The mission has a two-year mandate and involves up to 100 staff, including EU experts and monitors.
