A neighbour dispute in Sydney's west escalated, resulting in two people being hospitalised with serious head injuries following an alleged hit-and-run. Police were called to a quiet suburban street in Doonside on March 18, where they discovered a 42-year-old woman and a 41-year-old man injured. Both were rushed to Westmead Hospital, with the woman in serious but stable condition and the man fighting for his life after sustaining chest and leg injuries. The victims were reportedly hit by an SUV, and a 27-year-old man was later arrested nearby before being taken to Blacktown Hospital for precautionary reasons.
