71-year-old Lithgow GP Kin Vui Tan found guilty of professional misconduct after wrongly diagnosing a woman with glandular fever and anxiety weeks before her death from liver cancer and heart disease. Despite "alarming" blood test results and liver function levels over 25 times the normal range, Tan ignored signs of serious disease. He was disqualified for two years by the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
