1970s serial killer Charles Sobhraj denies murder charges in Channel 4 documentary "The Real Serpent".

In the new Channel 4 documentary, "The Real Serpent: Investigating a Serial Killer," Charles Sobhraj, a notorious con man and murderer, denies murdering any of his victims. Born in Saigon, Sobhraj is believed to have murdered at least 20 tourists in South and Southeast Asia during the 1970s. The documentary series investigates his life and crimes, featuring interviews with criminal experts and psychologists who aim to understand his motives. Sobhraj, who spent nearly half of his life in prison, was released in 2022 after serving 19 years in Nepal for killing two tourists in Kathmandu in 1975.
