Wind turbines have a minimal, temporary impact on US property values, with an average 1% decrease for homes within 6 miles.

A new study reveals that wind turbines have a minimal impact on US property values, with an average 1% drop for homes situated within six miles of a turbine. Researchers analyzed data from 300 million home sales and 60,000 wind turbines and found that the effect on house prices diminishes over time, particularly when turbines are built more than 1.2 miles away. Only around 250,000 US homes lie within 2.5 miles of a wind turbine, with 8.5 million properties situated within six miles.
