Unknown assailants fired at BuCor Director General Catapang's car, en route to pick up Deputy Director General Perreras in Quezon City.

Unknown assailants fired at the bulletproof Toyota Hilux car of Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) Director General Gregorio Catapang Jr., which was on its way to pick up BuCor Deputy Director General for Administration Atty. Al Perreras. The incident occurred along the Skyway in Quezon City at around 6:30 a.m., with no one injured. Both Catapang and Perreras have been receiving death threats since joining the bureau and implementing reforms.
