Tunisia closed its border crossing with Libya, Ras Jdir, after armed clashes between rival Libyan factions. The Libyan Interior Ministry accused a "criminal group" of causing chaos at the border, and said security forces had been deployed to secure the crossing and combat smuggling. Tunisia closed the crossing for the safety of its citizens traveling to Libya.
