Thailand's Public Health Ministry has launched a health rider service, where volunteers deliver medicines to patients at home. The initiative, part of the 30-baht plus universal healthcare scheme, will initially serve beneficiaries in 32 provinces. The health rider service was tested for a few months and has shown a 14% reduction in daily medicine queue lengths in hospitals. The ministry plans to expand the service nationwide soon.
