A new international study led by UNSW Sydney found no significant link between antipsychotic use during pregnancy and increased risk of childhood neurodevelopmental disorders or learning difficulties. The research, published in eClinicalMedicine, tracked long-term outcomes of children exposed to antipsychotics in the womb. The findings aim to ease concerns for pregnant women using these medications for mental health care management.
