Saudi Aramco CEO Amin Nasser has criticised the global transition strategy away from fossil fuels, stating that it's "visibly failing" and that the world should abandon the "fantasy of phasing out oil and gas". Speaking at the CERAWeek conference in Houston, Nasser highlighted that fossil fuels still account for 82% of global consumption in 2022. The CEO also predicted that oil demand will reach a new record in the second half of 2023.
