20s woman's body found in Ulster Canal, Monaghan on St. Patrick's Day; investigation ongoing.
Gardaí in Co Monaghan are investigating the discovery of a woman's body in her 20s found in the Ulster Canal in Monaghan town on St. Patrick's Day. The body was removed from the scene and taken to the mortuary at Our Lady's Hospital in Navan, Co. Meath. A postmortem examination has been carried out, and initial findings have been relayed to investigating Gardaí. A file will be compiled for the Coroner.
