These efforts include increased police patrols, expanding safety ambassadors, and a $150,000 investment in installing cameras on East Oakland commercial corridors in spring. According to recent data, there has been a 63% decrease in auto burglaries, a 49% decrease in theft, and a 7% decrease in robberies from October to February.
