Microsoft appoints Mustafa Suleyman, co-founder of Google's DeepMind, as CEO of a newly created consumer AI division. Suleyman, who also founded Inflection AI, will report to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, leading efforts on Microsoft's Copilot chatbot, Bing search engine, and Edge internet browser. With this appointment, Microsoft consolidates consumer AI work under one leader for the first time.
