64 large companies pledge procurement from black industrialists over 5 years at South Africa's Black Industrialists and Exporters Conference.

64 large companies will pledge procurement from black industrialists over the next five years at South Africa's second Black Industrialists and Exporters Conference, hosted by the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition. The event aims to address logistics and energy crises and promote the black industrialists program, established in 2015 to boost ownership among black South Africans in key sectors. Minister Ebrahim Patel has identified inefficiencies in the country's logistics sector as a major challenge to the growth of black-owned companies. The conference will feature 53 large companies pledging to buy from black industrialists and a marketplace showcasing over 200 black industrialists in various sectors.
