City of Langford sues Ecoasis Developments LLP, owners of Bear Mountain Resort, for $1.88M. Langford claims Ecoasis breached an agreement to make scheduled payments for the Bear Mountain Parkway expansion, which was a 3.6-km road connecting Leigh Road interchange to the existing Bear Mountain Parkway at the Country Club Way roundabout. The lawsuit was filed after Ecoasis allegedly failed to pay a yearly agreed-upon amount by Dec. 31, 2023.
