IMO establishes 7th Regional Presence Office in Suva, Fiji, following a signed MoU on 18 March.

The International Maritime Organization (IMO) is establishing its seventh Regional Presence Office in Suva, Fiji, following a Memorandum of Understanding signed on 18 March. The office will support the maritime needs and priorities of Pacific countries and territories, aligning IMO actions with national and regional development policies, and providing advice on essential maritime issues. The Fiji-hosted office will be the IMO's seventh regional office and will be headed by a regional coordinator.
