Florida's agriculture industry hopes a recently passed bill, SB 1082, will help address labor shortages by limiting local regulations on farmworker housing. This would enable more non-immigrant foreign workers to be brought in through the federal H-2A visa program, which requires employers to provide housing. The bill has not yet been signed by Governor Ron DeSantis.
