DFDS orders 100 electric trucks from Volvo to expand its electric truck fleet and support decarbonisation goals.

DFDS, a leading shipping and logistics company, has ordered 100 electric trucks from Volvo, increasing its total electric truck purchases to 225. This order aligns with DFDS's decarbonisation plan to become a net-zero company by 2050, with the new electric trucks being deployed in markets across Europe. The company aims to have at least 25% of its truck fleet electrified by 2030, reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 1,516 tonnes (Well-to-Wheel) by the end of 2023.
