Victoria's Royal Jubilee Hospital has reconfigured a 16-bed unit within its psychiatry department to specifically help young adults experiencing acute mental health episodes. The unit, for patients aged 17-26, opened in phases in November 2023, allowing existing patients to complete their hospital stays. The official opening took place on March 18th, with Victoria-Beacon Hill MLA Grace Lore in attendance.
