Yokohama Rubber Co. plans to build a new consumer and light truck tire plant in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico, with an initial capital investment of $380 million. The new facility is expected to begin construction in Q2 2024, with production starting in Q1 2027 and an annual output of 5 million tires. The plant aims to bolster Yokohama's presence in the North American market and support its three-year management plan, Yokohama Transformation 2026 (YX2026).
