Vietnam and Uzbekistan aim to boost connections between ministries and sectors to explore potential new cooperation opportunities for both countries' development interests and regional peace. This comes as Uzbekistan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov visited Vietnam for the first time since the two countries established diplomatic relations in 1992. Bilateral trade between the countries reached $159.7 million in 2023, a 32% increase from the previous year.
