Thousands of Russian nationals in Europe gathered at Russian embassies on the final day of the presidential election, which is expected to extend President Vladimir Putin's rule. Some polling stations attracted anti-Putin rallies organized in memory of late opposition leader Alexei Navalny. His widow, Yulia Navalnaya, joined the long lines of voters at the Russian embassy in Berlin, while supporters called for people to attend polling stations in a "Midday Against Putin" protest and spoil their ballots.
