Swiss police stopped a far-right Austrian politician from speaking at an event in the Swiss canton of Aargau on Saturday after the organisers failed to comply with a police request for the event to be cancelled. Martin Sellner, a prominent member of the Freedom Party of Austria, was invited to discuss remigration and ethnic voting at the event, organised by local group Junge Tat. After the electricity was turned off, and Sellner was taken to a police station, he was escorted out of Aargau and banned from entering the canton for two months. The police intervened to ensure public safety and prevent confrontations with opponents.
