2,000 rail-sea intermodal train trips have been completed along China's New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor in 2024, surpassing the first-quarter target ahead of schedule. Launched in 2017, the corridor connects western China and ASEAN members, with the rail-sea intermodal service now covering 71 cities in 18 provincial-level regions across China. This marks a 16.8% increase in trips compared to the same period in 2023, with noticeable growth in the transportation of white sugar, automobiles, and auto parts.
