Prime Minister Narendra Modi holds a roadshow in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, after Madras High Court grants permission. The roadshow, his first political engagement in the state after the announcement of the Lok Sabha polls, starts on Mettupalayam Road and ends at RS Puram. Coimbatore is under tight security for the event, with around 5,000 police personnel and members of the Special Protection Group ensuring safety throughout.
