Pierer Mobility Group, the parent company of KTM, has acquired a 50.1% majority stake in MV Agusta motorcycles ahead of schedule. The Sardarov family retains a 49.9% stake. Hubert Trunkenpolz, related to KTM's founder, takes over as CEO and Chairman, while Timur Sardarov steps down as CEO and becomes Vice-Chairman, brand ambassador, and consultant. Pierer Mobility plans to increase production at MV Agusta's plant to 10,000 units annually, aiming to maintain MV Agusta as a premium motorcycle brand under KTM's umbrella.
