Peel Ports Group plans the UK's largest solar project at the Port of Liverpool, partnering with E.ON. The project includes installing up to 63,000 solar panels on 26 buildings, generating 31MW of renewable electricity. The solar array is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by 6,500 tonnes annually and meet up to a quarter of the port's annual electricity needs, with a completion target by summer 2026.
