The National Weather Service issues a Fire Weather Watch for parts of Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington D.C., due to low humidity and dry conditions, increasing the risk of wildfires. Winds may reach up to 45 mph, and relative humidity is expected to drop to around 20 percent. Residents are advised to exercise caution when handling open flames or equipment that produces sparks, and to properly dispose of flammable items.
