Nigeria's government launches a N40bn mass metering project for Nigerian Army formations to end estimated billings and provide 24-hour power supply.

Nigeria's Federal Government has launched a N40 billion mass metering project to end estimated billings in Nigerian Army formations and ensure regular electricity supply. The initiative, which began at Ikeja military cantonment, will be carried out in phases, with smart, tamper-proof meters allowing interconnectivity between grid and off-grid solar power supplies. The project aligns with President Bola Tinubu's renewed hope agenda and aims to provide 24-hour power supply to military barracks, including those in remote areas without grid supply.
